Favorite Things: February 2013
Sunday, February 24, 2013I can't believe this is the last weekend of February already ... where DOES the time go? Spring is nearly here, and this year, I actually believe Punxsutawney Phil about spring coming early ... I can feel it.
Anyway, here were some of my favorite things this past month ... It's a short and pathetic list, but I couldn't have a list for January and not one for February, could I? (Probably so, actually, since it's my blog and I can do what I want.) Well, not too many things have stood out to me as particularly interesting, so it's a short list. Such is the month of February!

Earlier this month, I wrote about how to stay on top of the winter blues. About a day after I wrote that, I discovered that there is this absolutely amazing sounding alarm clock that can be programmed to emit "sunlight" beginning 30 minutes before your wake-up time. Not only that, but one of the wake-up alarm sounds is birds chirping! I have actually always wanted an alarm clock that chirped me awake. I bought one from Cracker Barrel in Austin, but it's not a happy, early morning chirpy bluebird -- it's a maniacal angry bird, or sounds like one!

Another UK girl group is on my list, I'm afraid ... Little Mix, a group that originated from and won the 2011 season of "The X Factor UK." I don't know what it is about pop groups that appeals so much to me. I think it just seems like much more fun when you're in it with a bunch of others rather than going it alone. And I love how tight Little Mix's vocals are, how every one of them can sing.
And I couldn't leave without a cute video. Here's the cutest little girl and her experience with a lemon. I hope my kids are as great as this if I ever have kids ...
Now I'm ready for March and spring ... and yes, even spring cleaning!

Omg the baby is absolutely adorable. She can't get enough of the lemon even though she clearly isn't too fond of it.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, alarm with birds chirping isn't good. I'm pretty annoyed with the birds around my place - they start chirping non-stop at 6am. I guess because it's summer so they tend to get excited early in the morning.
