Late fall is arguably my favorite time of year. Just like the turn of spring to summer, the turn of fall to winter has its own magical qualities. Fall music to me has a distinct quality that sets it apart from winter music, and it's all (of course) fabricated within the confines of my mind. Music for me in January-February needs to have a more upbeat quality, to help me push through the last dregs of winter. Music for the autumn is typically dark, dreary, a slowing down of the senses.
What kind of music do you like to listen to to get into the winter "spirit"?
